Blog hopping and inspiration

The other weekend Rebekah did a blog hop to celebrate her birthday, her LO for this was stunning, but it also inspired me to scrap a page about my Dad which quickly became a tribute to lost family members too. I've shown you the front, but here's the completed page. I'm really proud of it :)

The inside left is a picture of me at a couple of months with my paternal grandfather, he passed away December 08. The right is a photo of me at a few weeks with my maternal grandparents. My Mormor has dementia and Morfar passed away over 10 years ago.

And the centre page is my Dad, he had ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukaemia) The top photo is from Mum and Dad's vow renewal, two years before he died. and the second photo... yep, thats me!

and finally the whole thing :)

The poem... well, I'm not sure where it came from, but I do know it was written by Leo Marks. Dad wasn't one for writing, but he wrote this one out. I've used Safmat (thanks Rebekah!) so I don't loose the paper and it reads:

The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have is yours.
The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Is yours and yours and yours.
A sleep I shall have
A rest that I have
Yet death will be, but a pause
For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.

Leo Marks - S.E.O Head of Agents Codes

I know this may seem a very personal post, but I wanted to share it. It's the first time I've scrapped Dad properly and this page just worked . I love it, and even better, I've used up more scraps! ^_^ Thank you Rebekah for the inspiration. :)
